Currently we have an opening for an Executive Housekeeper.  This is a salaried, exempt position.  The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for managing all functions of the housekeeping department including but not limited to: maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel; hire, train, and motivate associates; and to ensure our guests have an exceptional stay.  Previous experience required.

 

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

Primary job responsibilities include:

  • Check every room every day

  • Guarantee exceptionally clean and neat rooms for our guests

  • Hire, train, motivate, discipline and terminate employees in the housekeeping department

  • Ensure all associate training is complete and documented according to hotel and brand standards (safety, Hilton, etc.)

  • Train and empower associates to do what it takes to make the guest satisfied

  • High standards of quality guest service, ability to respond and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner

  • Preparing weekly schedule in accordance to budget guidelines

  • Maintain Lost and Found items and follow established protocol

  • Maintain excellent communications with the General Manager and all other department heads

  • Keeping room status and paperwork up to date for the front desk

  • Attend weekly staff meetings

  • Performance reviews

  • Responsible for Housekeeping labor budget

  • Linen inventory, discard and supply orders

  • Keep all closets and storage areas clean, neat and organized

  • Manager on Duty as assigned

  • Work as a team player

Job Requirements:

*Thorough knowledge of all Housekeeping duties and responsibilities *Excellent guest service skills *Excellent communication skills, both oral and written *Must be able to walk, stand, bend and kneel for a minimum eight-hour shift each day *Lifting, pushing and pulling up 50 pounds *Pushing, bending, stooping, walking, upward reaching, manual dexterity, seeing, hearing, writing and typing *English/Spanish bilingual preferred *Comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors *Ability to accurately report information *Ability to follow all brand and hotel policies & procedures. *Conducts oneself professionally at all times *Minimum of 1-year supervising experience required *Minimum of 1-year commercial housekeeping or janitorial experience required
